Billy Collins Live

Audiobook
Billy Collins’ use of humor is one of the most distinguishing characteristics of his poetry.  In this benefit performance for WNYC, comedian Bill Murray begins the evening with a delightfully witty introduction and an homage to the former Poet Laureate.
In a performance at the Peter Norton Symphony Space in New York City on April 20, 2005, Billy Collins shared 24 of his poems. In addition to the readings, Collins also spent some time in a question and answer session where he reflected on what makes good poetry, his own process of reaching his audience as a poet, the success of his Poetry 180 programs in schools nationwide, and an amusing sidebar on his memories of growing up as an only child.
Introduced by Academy Award®-winning actor Bill Murray, this intimate evening celebrates both the simple and the complex in a language that appeals to all.
