Dr. Jill Jonnes is the author and historian of, Empires of Light: Edison, Tesla, Westinghouse, and the Race to Electrify the World, this is also the title to her lecture. Jonnes earned a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University and has received awards from the Ford Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
