唐代传奇，作者不详。一般认为是唐前期作品。本书叙述梁大同末年欧阳纥率军南征﹐抵达长乐﹐妻被白猿精劫走。欧阳纥率兵入山﹐计杀白猿﹐但妻子已怀孕﹐后来生一子﹐状貌如猿猴。题名中"补江总"三字﹐意谓江总为欧阳纥友﹐纥死后曾收养其子﹐所以对这件事比较了解﹐唯未作传述﹐所以补之。小说攻击异己，唐初已经流行，本小说即为一例。白猿自此成为中国奇幻文学中一个鲜明独特的形象，其世外仙境、自身生活，很值得取鉴。
